Tips To Fix Hard Drive Not Recognized By BIOS
Here are some simple steps that can help you fix your BIOS unrecognized hard drive problem.

There are six main reasons why the system BIOS cannot see the field of view of the internal hard drive. Here is a list of them. You are not on a specific list, but you can follow these steps one by one to fix this specific issue:
- Disk not included in BIOS
- Serial ATA drivers are not easy to install.
- Data cable is defective or not connected.
- Drive definitely doesn’t add up
- Incorrect jumper setting on a specific drive.
- Bad hard drive.

Your ATA or SATA connection will be automatically recognized or activated. However, if you find that your hard drive is not recognized (automatically) by the system BIOS, try the following steps to localize / fix the problem.
Most PCs receive a short function message shortly after power on to invoke system setup. Setting with The system is also known as “System BIOS” or sometimes “CMOS Setting” – both are big names for the same thing.
For example, on Dell systems, you usually see “F2 = Setup” in the upper right corner when you start your computer. This may mean that you need to press the F2 key to help you enter it (BIOS setup). Different computer manufacturers have different methods of accessing settings. So please check your system for detailed documentation.
If your drive is not recognized, it may be because the problem has been disabled in the system settings. Some motherboard manufacturers disable unused vents in the BIOS by default. You need to enter BIOS setup to check the current status.
If you add another disk to the system, you may need to enable it in the system settings.
- Serial Motherboard ATA drivers are not loaded correctly.
If you connect older versions of Windows to a great drive, it will bootable and the boot drive (for example, the C: Drive), in cases where it is time to install Windows, the drive may not be recognized. You may need to update the new controller driver stored on your computer.
Additional drivers must be downloaded for Windows 2000 and XP.
Note. These drivers are not from Seagate; they come from the motherboard manufacturer.
- Faulty or disconnected data check cable
- Always keep the motherboard and hard drive connectors on bent or offset pins. Bending, crimping, crimping, or bending data cables can break the wires – inside the insulation, making it easier to work on the outside of the cable. If in doubt about the condition of the data conductor, replace it.

- BIOS does not recognize the hard drive computerohm if the data on the cable was stolen or the connection was not established correctly. In particular, under certain circumstances, Serial ATA cables can fall out of the connector. Make sure your SATA cable is securely connected to the SATA port connector.
- The easiest way to test a cable. consists in replacing this element with another cable. If all problems persist, then the problem is not with the cable.
- For ATA drives, Seagate recommends using UDMA for cables no longer than 18 inches. UDMA cables have a color known as connectors, which requires proper orientation each time they are plugged in.

If a disk is offline or gets an invalid power value, the utility will not spin it. To check if this is a reasonIf the BIOS does not recognize the hard drive, do the following:
- Turn off your computer.
- Open the computer case and usually disconnect the cable from the hard drive. Therefore, energy saving instructions are no longer sent.
- Activate the program. Check if the hard drive is spinning. If you bite the drive side, you should feel a slight vibration. If you don’t think about it or the hard drive reads, the hard drive won’t boot.
- Turn on your computer and listen carefully.
- Close the office.
- Disconnect the cable from the computer itself.
- Disconnect the power cord directly from the desired hard drive.
- Plug the power cord into the desktop itself.
- Restart your computer to see the player sound you heard earlier. And,
- Then repeat the process just by plugging in a redirect and listening to get started.
- Swap your power cords for some awesome device like a CD or DVD drive to be a good power cord.
- P Check your computer’s power supply to see if there is enough power to power your computer’s drives and peripherals in this situation.
- If the topic is still not spinning, if possible, pair this thought with another on the computer.
- If possible, include a USB SATA enclosure or similar design in the drive.

ATA : Indicates that all Seagate ATA hard drives that support the cable selection jumper will be configured as cable selection. If your computer system was built between October 1998 and does not support UDMA 66 or higher, you will need to use the special master / slave jumper setting.
